We all know that the uniform for birthdays is red. In our 21st century, some (or a lot) people, wanting to be tagged cool and unconventional, had been avoiding the tradition and wear any color besides red during their birthdays. I've said this before and I'll say it again, my aversion to hipsters and very much mainstream nature naturally gravitates me towards the majority and the socially accepted norm. (Plus, it helps a lot that red is my second favorite color!) So since I'm counting very, very few days before my 19th birthday, I prepared a Polyvore post just for me (haha, I'm your #1 narcissist). :)

Here in the Philippines it's that time of the year when graduating students of 2014 prepare for individual graduation shoots that will be printed in their yearbook, one of the most valuable souvenirs for their university education. This includes creative shots wherein the student will come up with a creative concept and wear whatever he/she wants.
A friend of mine used Alex of Clockwork Orange as her inspiration, being that it's her favorite book and movie of all time. Following her footsteps, I compiled some photos in this post of my favorite characters that you can recreate for your most iconic yearbook photo yet. I'm no hipster so expect to see a very mainstream list here.

Last week, I had the pleasure of shooting my cousin, Abby, and her friend, Sam, for their modelling portfolio/pageant audition required photos. At first, I was hesitant to say yes to the project because I'm still brushing up a lot on my photography know-how and "skills". I wasn't sure if I was the right person to help them bring home the bacon. But they needed the help and since I love doing this anyway (and helping, lol), why object further? I kinda love how the photos turned out and it would be an absolute waste if I don't share these labored photos to you today. I did do some noticeable lapses but if my clients are happy, then I'm happy too (assuming that they were in fact satisfied). :)

Here's a photo diary I prepared for all of you guys. Thanks again to Anj Eder for inviting us over to her place and celebrate Higantes Festival with her friends and family. It's been a while since I last attended a provincial festival so you can just imagine how excited I was to go there.
